BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Staff are requesting approval of purchase of vehicles for the Solid Waste Division. These vehicles are replacements for vehicles that are being retired from service. Any replacement vehicles have either met or exceeded their useful life as determined by our Fleet Services Division. The FY 2027 Adopted includes the funding to support these vehicle replacements.
The City will utilize multiple vendors: Chastang Autocar through a BuyBoard cooperative agreement, Doggett Freightliner of South Texas through a TIPS contract, and Bluebonnet Motors Ford through a City contract, all of which have been competitively vetted. The schedule below provides details for each purchase.
In addition, staff recommend declaring the replaced vehicles surplus which allows for the future sale or donation of the assets.

Staff are requesting replacement vehicles to maintain fiscal stability of city operations.

FISCAL IMPACT:
The costs for the vehicles described above are incorporated into the FY 2027 Adopted Budget within the Solid Waste Fund. Therefore, sufficient funds are available to purchase the vehicles.
