BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Staff is requesting approval for the purchase of vehicles and equipment for various departments. The purchase is a combination of replacement vehicles and equipment being retired from service, and new vehicles and equipment for department use to support new staff positions or new capital requests approved in the FY 25 Budget. Any replacement vehicles and equipment have either met or exceeded their useful life as determined by our fleet services division.
The City will utilize multiple vendors: Bluebonnet Motors Ford with a City contract, United Ag & Turf with a Sourcewell cooperative agreement, Hill Country Outdoor Power with a BuyBoard cooperative agreement, Professional Turf Products with a BuyBoard cooperative agreement, all of which have been competitively vetted. The schedule below will provide detail to each purchase.

Additional vehicles and equipment were approved in the FY 2025 Budget that will be brought to the City Council for approval as quotes are obtained through manufacturer order schedules or cooperative opportunities as stock is available from dealers.
In addition, staff recommends declaring the replaced vehicles and equipment surplus which allows for the future sale or donation of the asset.
ISSUE:
Staff are requesting new and replacement vehicles and equipment to maintain fiscal stability of city operations.

FISCAL IMPACT:
The costs for vehicles and equipment described above are incorporated into the FY 2025 Adopted Budget within various Capital Project Funds and the FY 2025 General Fund for the appropriate departments. Therefore, sufficient funds are available to purchase the vehicles.
