BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
On August 22, 2022 City Council approved the issuance of a Competitive Sealed Proposal (CSP) for the necessary civil work and utility improvements associated with the Fire Station #7 and Training Center. The construction of Fire Station #7 was previously awarded and is currently under construction. A CSP for the civil work and utility improvements was issued on November 16, 2022 and four proposals were received. The responses were evaluated and scored based on cost, experience, and past performance. The selection team identified Tegrity Contractors as the highest-ranked proposal. The project team identified cost savings and submitted a final contract cost of $5,494,753. Staff recommends a 10% project contingency in the amount of $549,475. This is project will begin directly after award of this contract.
The Task Order with Raba Kistner is to provide construction materials testing services at the rates defined by their Master Service agreement for the proposed scope with an estimated fee of $53,731.40.
