Approval of a budget amendment within the FY 2021 Golf Course Fund

BACKGROUND / RATIONALE:
Golf Fund Amendment - Per our financial policies if an overall fund budget needs to be increased or decreased, a budget amendment is required via City Council approval.
During FY 2021, the Golf Course experienced almost 10,000 more rounds played in comparison to the previous fiscal year. The increase in play contributed to an increased cost associated with absorbing credit card convenience fees. Therefore, there is offsetting revenue to support the additional cost. As a reminder, enterprise funds are exempt from the convenience fee approved by City Council earlier this year.
The Golf Course conducted engineering services for the back deck of the clubhouse. This was an unbudgeted expenditure. It was initially thought that the budget could fully absorb the cost, however a minor amendment is needed to recognize a portion of the costs associated with this initiative.

FISCAL IMPACT:
The amendment to the Golf Fund will increase the budget, however the overall fiscal and reserve position will be either inline or improved from the FY 2021 projections initially included in the proposed budget. Therefore, sufficient funds are available.
