BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

The committee will be presented with Draft Map A, which was previously named “illustrative map”, and Draft Map B which resulted from the committee’s review and input at the committee meeting on November 15th. Citizens continue to be able to submit written comments to the City until December 6th. After the meeting on December 2nd, the committee will hold a public hearing on December 15th and the committee will vote on the Final Map that will be recommended to City Council for adoption in January.

 

City Council will tentatively have its public hearing on the proposed redistricting map in January. City Council may also adopt the Final Map that same date. The latest day to adopt the final map is January 10 for the redistricting maps to apply to the May 2022 municipal election.

 

ISSUE:

The committee will be presented with both created draft maps-Draft Map A and Draft Map B. No action is required to adopt the Final Map until the next meeting.
