BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The City issued a Competitive Sealed Proposal and on March 16th received three responses for road construction work on an as-needed basis. This bid contains line-item pricing for various concrete work, such as flat work, sidewalks, ramps, Structural concrete reinforcement, curb and gutter, and other related work.
City staff evaluated the proposals and determined best value for the City. Award criteria considered were costs, competence and qualifications and experience performing similar services. These contracts are requirements type contracts and tasks will be ordered from the respective contractor as needed. This allows the Streets Division, Transportation & Capital Improvements and other City Departments to efficiently access these contracts for completing improvements within the city.
These contracts will be utilized to support annual street repairs and enhancements within the General Fund as well as citywide street improvements within the Capital Projects. There are other opportunities for other City departments, such as Parks, to use for related projects. Therefore, the estimated annual expenditures stemming from these contracts are set at an amount not-to-exceed $4 million. The contract term will be May 2026 through September 30, 2030.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding has been incorporated into the appropriate adopted budgets of the Public Works Department and the Capital Projects Funds for continued support of these services. Therefore, sufficient funds are available to support the contract described above.
