BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The Conrads Lane Improvements Project is one of the approved projects in Proposition A of the 2023 Bond Program. The project limits run from Goodwin Lane to the Union Pacific Railroad tracks and include an improved 2-lane roadway, widened intersections with dedicated turn lanes, improved drainage infrastructure, a shared-use path, and improvements at the Goodwin Lane intersection.
ISSUE:
To complete this project, the City must acquire right-of-way and easements from approximately 13 parcels. The City is contracted with Cobb Fendley to provide right-of-way acquisition services for this project. Appraisals will be obtained to confirm fair market value, and offers will be sent to property owners.
The expenditure will be used to purchase right-of-way and easements, along with any damages for improvements (fencing, landscaping, etc.) affected by the acquisition.

FISCAL IMPACT:
The project budget incorporates funds for the acquisition of right-of-way and easements using 2023 Bond Funds and Roadway Impact Fees, therefore sufficient funds are available.
