BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
For the past five years, the fire department has provided its members with health and wellness physicals which include a cardiac stress test, ultrasound imaging, and detailed blood work. The police department has recently added this program for their members. An RFP process was conducted with four responses being received. After evaluation of the responses, On-Duty Health was identified as the highest-ranking vendor and recommended for award of the contract.
The Agreement shall become effective upon the date of the final signature and shall remain in effect through September 30, 2026 with the option to renew for two (2) additional terms of one (1) year each for a total term not to surpass September 30, 2028. The cost associated with the contract is $629/member and there are 171 members assigned to the Fire Department and 172 members assigned to the Police Department with a grand total of approximately $215,747.00 annually.
ISSUE:
The Fire Department and Police Departments are working to maintain the health and wellness of all members by providing public safety physicals.

FISCAL IMPACT:
This funding for this request is included in the FY 2025 budgets for the Fire and Police Departments. The cost is $629/member and there are 171 members assigned to the Fire Department and 172 members assigned to the Police Department. This total comes out to $215,747. Additional years will be allocated in each department's budget.

Staff recommends approval of a contract with On-Duty Health to continue health and wellness physicals for the Fire and Police Departments.
