BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The New Braunfels Fire Department currently has a contract with Siddons-Martin Emergency Group for the preventive maintenance of the Pierce emergency apparatus equipment and repairs as needed. This contract has an approved annual expenditure of $600,000 for FY 2026. Staff are requesting to increase the contract for the remainder of this fiscal year to $790,000. This increase supports a backlog of vehicles that need maintenance and repairs as well as $120,000 for repairs to a pumper truck.
To support the additional costs of this contract, a budget amendment will be needed for the FY 2026 General Fund- Fire Department budget.

Staff recommends approval of additional contract spend of $190,000 with Siddons-Martin Emergency Group for preventive maintenance of Pierce emergency apparatus equipment and the associated FY 2026 General Fund budget amendment for the Fire Department budget totaling $190,000.
