BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

At the June 8th City Council meeting, City Council discussed and gave directions for a maximum of seven members for the proposed Charter Review Commission and to open the application process.  At the August 19 Special City Council meeting, the City Council received a presentation and update, on the Charter Review Committee process. 

 

Mayor French is proposing nine (9) members for the Charter Review Commission with three (3) At Large seats being appointed by the Mayor and two (2) Alternate seats being chosen by the Mayor and each district appointing one (1) seat for their district.

FISCAL IMPACT:

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff request clear direction from City Council regarding the number of members for the proposed Charter Review Commission and appointments be made.
