DISCUSSION:
The Parks Department has recently acquired the Westside Community Center from the Library and will continue current programming, as well as expand upon the offering. Zane Ziebell has worked in the City as the Library Branch Manager for the past several years and is now joining our Parks team as the Westside Community Center Supervisor. Zane will play an important role in the health and wellness programming of our community and continue to fulfill our mission and vision with the Parks team.
Brianna Gutierrez is our new Parks Administration Intern. Brianna holds an MS in Ecology from Texas State University and a BS in Zoology from Texas A&M. Her experience includes conducting ecological assessments across Texas and in national parks like Yellowstone and Grand Teton. She has skills in project coordination, GIS mapping, and volunteer management. Brianna will help update park and trail signage, finalize the systemwide master plan, and other odds and ends.
