BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The City Council directed staff to establish the posted speed limit on Mission Drive from the state-mandated speed of 30 miles per hour (MPH) to 25 MPH during the traffic calming presentation due to resident traffic safety concerns. The pilot study was approved and implemented in early 2026. The Transportation and Construction Services Department will present an update on the pilot study of posting a 25 MPH speed limit in the residential area bounded by N Walnut Avenue, Wood Road, and Loop 337.
