BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

The City’s adopted 2024-2029 Strategic Plan includes an objective pertaining to fiscal sustainability.

 

As such, the City Council approved a resolution in March 2024 to support the grant application process, including the designation of the City Manager as the authorized official, to request for funding provided by the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division’s 2025 State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program - Workforce Development objective. In December 2024, the City was awarded funding to obtain cybersecurity training for the Information Technology department.

 

If approved, the updated resolution will now authorize the Director of Finance, or their designee, to act on behalf of the City in all matters related to the awarded grant, which will enhance the efficiency as it relates to administration of this grant.

 

 

 

 

ISSUE:

Approval of an updated resolution will ensure compliance with administrative requirements of the granting agency.

Considering statutory and market-based factors, continue to diversify revenue streams to support long-term fiscal sustainability of the Organization.
