BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The New Braunfels City Council approved a resolution establishing the Business Improvement and Preservation Grant Program at its October 23, 2023 meeting.
The online grant application was opened in late October and the Economic and Community Development department has been collecting applications for the TIRZ 3 Board to review. The first grant, in the amount of $5,000, was awarded to Celebrations at the February 12, 2024 meeting. Applications will be reviewed and addressed by the TIRZ 3 Board as they are received on a semi-monthly rolling basis. Grants are issued to selected applications upon the completion of the approved project.

RECOMMENDATION:
The TIRZ 3 Board addresses applications and advances selected projects for upcoming City Council review and action
