BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Staff is requesting approval for purchase of vehicles and equipment for two crews as part of the newly developed Right of Way Beautification Team as approved in the FY 2025 budget. These vehicles are new vehicles for public works department use to support new staff positions approved in the FY 2025 Budget.
The City will utilize multiple vendors: Bluebonnet Motors Ford with a City contract, Silsbee Ford with a TIPS cooperative agreement, North Texas Trailers with a BuyBoard cooperative agreement, Ewald Kubota Inc. through a Sourcewell cooperative agreement, Hill Country Outdoor Power with a BuyBoard cooperative agreement, Pathmark Traffic Products with three Quotes and H Barber and Son Inc as a sole Source provider. FISCAL IMPACT:
The costs for this equipment will be split between the General Fund and the 2020 Certificates of Obligation/2021 Tax Note Fund. The adopted budgets have incorporated the costs of the equipment and vehicle purchases. Therefore, sufficient funds are available to purchase the vehicles.
Recommendation
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff Recommends approval of purchases of vehicles and Equipment with Bluebonnet Motors Ford, Silsbee Ford, North Texas Trailers, Ewald Kubota Inc, H Barber and Son Inc, Pathmark Traffic Products and Hill Country Outdoor Power to support the Right of Way Beautification Team.
