BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

 

The Barbarosa Road/Saur Lane Reconstruction Project is one of the approved projects in Proposition A of the City of New Braunfels 2023 Bond Program.  The project will improve the current roadway to four lanes, improve drainage infrastructure, provide intersection enhancements and provide for sidewalks and a shared use path.

 

 

ISSUE:

 

In order to accomplish this project, it is necessary to acquire right-of-way and utility easements from approximately 19 parcels.  The City is contracted with Cobb, Fendley & Associates to provide right-of-way acquisition services and they have been requested to provide these services for this Barbarosa Road/Saur Lane project.

 

The expenditure shall be utilized for Cobb, Fendley & Associates fees as well as pass-through expenses for appraisal-related services.
