BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

Staff received a request from the property owner at 257 E South Street to remove the parking by permit adjacent to their property. This property is currently surrounded on three sides by Parking by Permit Area B. The impacted streets would be the north side of E South Street from S Washington Avenue to S Houston Avenue, the east side of S Washington Avenue from E South Street northerly to the property boundary, and the west side of S Houston Avenue from E South Street northerly to the property boundary. No other properties are impacted by this requested removal of parking by permit.

A signed petition has been received from the property owner requesting the removal of the parking by permit area. This one signature is sufficient to meet the two-thirds requirement for a petition, as this property is the only one located adjacent to the requested removal area.

Notices for the public hearing have been sent in advance of the meeting. The requested permit area removal meets the area requirements in the City of New Braunfels Code of Ordinances.
