BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The City recently acquired this property from The Institute For Public Health and Education Research ("TIPHER"). Family Promise of Greater New Braunfels was in an existing lease agreement with TIPHER which the City would like to honor and maintain.
Family Promise of Greater New Braunfels, Inc. is a Texas domestic non-profit corporation designed to help families with children facing homelessness achieve and sustain independence.
This lease will be for a period of five (5) years and Family Promise assumes all maintenance obligations and other expenses related to the property.
ISSUE:
Honoring an existing lease with Family Promise of Greater New Braunfels, for property addressed as 295 Rosewood Avenue.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The annual lease rate for the building will be $1.00. This is in consideration of the public purpose and since all building maintenance and upkeep is performed by the Tenant. The city has no operating expenses pertaining to this building.

Staff recommends approval of the resolution and lease agreement.
