BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The City of New Braunfels’ PY 2026 CDBG grant award from HUD is $466,582. Of that amount, $69,987.30 is budgeted for Public Services, $93,316.40 is budgeted for program administration, and $303,278.30 is budgeted for Public Facilities and Housing projects.
For Program Year 2026, the City also has the opportunity to utilize an additional $117,708.90 from its unallocated CDBG fund balance. These funds are restricted for Public Facilities and Housing activities and would allow the City to fully fund all eligible Public Facilities and Housing projects for PY 2026.
