BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
At the February 5, 2026 Downtown Parking Revenue Advisory meeting, the committee discussed its mission, goals, and discussed beautification, communications, mobility/access, pedestrian safety, and parking supply as categories for reinvestment consideration.
At the February 9, 2026 meeting, the committee completed a ranking exercise to refine their focus reinvestment categories. The exercise yielded the top three categories as:
1. Pedestrian Safety and Comfort
2. Additional Parking Supply
3. Improved Parking Experience
The committee then completed an additional exercise to vote on projects in each of the three categories. This presentation will lead discussions and identify project concepts, considerations based on feedback and data, pricing estimates, and next steps on those projects identified by the committee. Staff will seek further direction from the committee to advance projects and potential program changes for Downtown Board approval.
ISSUE:
At previous meetings, the committee identified reinvestment categories and project ideas. Staff will provide the results of research and address next steps. The committee must take action to recommend projects and program changes to the Downtown Board for next-stage advancement.
