BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The Downtown Parking Revenue Advisory Standing Committee was established by city council to improve downtown parking access and mobility, guide strategic reinvestment of parking revenues, support economic vitality and safety, advise on parking policy and operations, and serve as a liaison to ensure benefits to the entire downtown area. This presentation and discussion will include categories of expenditures including beautification and identity, pedestrian safety and comfort, a clean and safe downtown, improved parking experience, business and cultural support, and mobility alternatives.
ISSUE:
This is the first meeting of the Downtown Parking Revenue Advisory Standing Committee where members will begin to select revenue reinvestment categories or projects. Recommendations by this committee will be forwarded to the Downtown Board for approval and potential implementation.
