Sportsman Solutions
A contract with Sportsman Solutions has been approved by City Council to develop and secure naming rights and sponsorship opportunities for the Zipp Family Sports Park.
Summer Staffing
Summer is in full swing, and the majority of staff is in place and trained. We are still seeking lifeguards and rangers to join our team in support.
Zipp Grand Opening
A ribbon cutting will be held on June 9th at 2pm.
The Grand Opening will be held on June 20th. A high energy day of celebration of the Zipp Family Sports Park. A fun run/walk at 8:30am followed by the event kickoff at 930. There will be a DJ, Inflatables, food, exhibitors and events such as Pitch, Hit and Run and a Soccer shootout. The event goes until 1pm. Raffle items are still up for purchase, and we will have 3 commemorative Zipp bats up for silent auction. Winners announced June 22.
Juneteenth- A community celebration held at Fischer Park from 9am-12pm. In partnership with the New Braunfels MLK Association Incorporated, we will be hosting a story walk leading to the Nature Education Center, with exhibitors along the walk. Crafts and story time will be held in the Nature Center, themed around the holiday. Music will be performed by Soul Sessions with an enthralling step routine during intermission by local fraternities. Guest speakers include Emerald Vaughn and Bishop Michael Franklin.
July 4th fireworks and Live at Landa with the 90's VHS Band. A fun celebration for our 250th anniversary! Fun giveaways at Landa Dance Slab and the Golf Course as we show our spirit!
