BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
In order to accommodate for new and replacement garbage and recycling refuse containers, the Solid Waste and Recycling Division orders on average two full loads of each type of container on an annual basis. Each load consists of 793 units at $52.50 per unit. Additionally, replacement lids are regularly ordered for repairs and to support the residential extra container program. The City has been utilizing Schaefer Plastics for several years and they have proven to have quality products and expedient delivery. This expenditure will account for the remaining anticipated orders for FY 2025. The purchases are being made via the HGAC Cooperative Contract.
