BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Fire Department
The FY 2027 Adopted Budget does not include any changes to the number of authorized uniform positions in the Fire Department. The total uniformed FTEs remain consistent with the classifications and funding approved in the Adopted Budget.
Police Department
The FY 2027 Adopted Budget includes three additional uniformed positions for the Police Department: two (2) School Resource Officers and one (1) position to support a Detective assignment. The Detective role is an assignment rather than a separate rank, so the budget reflects this addition by including one additional Police Officer position dedicated to that assignment. These changes align with the positions and funding included in the Adopted Budget.
