BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The current HCI responsible for running 95%+ of the City’s client/server architecture and critical applications is approaching the end-of-life expectancy. The City needs to refresh this hardware with new updated technology and the subsequent support and warranty components. This refresh will allow the City to maintain its on-premise computing capabilities as well as the associated data storage.
This purchase is being made through GTS, Inc via a Texas Department of Information Resources cooperative contract which meets competitive requirements.
This contract is for the hardware, other physical components and five years of warranty and support at a cost of $1,040,780.
ISSUE:
Continue an ongoing program of infrastructure and maintenance.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost for this contract and services are incorporated into the Information Technology budget for FY 2024, therefore sufficient funds are available.
