BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
New Braunfels requires special events to undergo review from several departments as part of the Special Event permit application. This review is conducted to ensure the safety and health of the participants and to minimize disruptions to surrounding properties. This revision clarifies the definition of special event, such that all applicable events will be required to obtain appropriate permits.
ISSUE:
The language in Section 91-2 does not clearly define Special Events and leads to confusion for staff and the public.
