BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The bridge which facilitates the only access for golf course patrons and delivery vehicles supporting the restaurant facility is estimated to have been constructed in the 1930’s and shows visible signs of deterioration. Under the proposed contract, JMT Engineering will provide a full assessment of the existing structures, including the safe load rating and estimated life span in the current condition. The report will also include recommendations and considerations for the replacement of the bridge and culvert structures as determined by the conditions assessment.
JMT Engineering was awarded a Master Service Agreement for Bridge Planning, Design, and Inspections as part of the 2024 Professional Services Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity procurement process. The contract will be issued under the Master Service Agreement.
The proposed fee for the conditions assessment and associated recommendations is $99,632.96. Staff recommends authorization not to exceed $99,632.96 for the contract.
