DISCUSSION:

Currently the City of New Braunfels Code of Ordinances requires that water recreation shuttle vehicle permits are secured by May 1^st. Some river outfitters do not open until closer to Memorial Day, but due to the May 1^st requirement they have to get vehicles insured by May 1^st that are not in operation. The recommendation is to push the date for water recreation shuttle vehicle permits from May 1^st to May 15^th. This will allow staff enough time to finalize shuttle permit applications before the Memorial Day weekend. A recommendation will be taken to City Council for consideration. Proposed ordinance revision text is below:
