BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
At the October 21, 2024 City Council - Special Meeting a presentation was given detailing the planned renovations for the Landa Park Aquatic Complex (LPAC) including the Olympic Pool, Bath House, and Spring Fed Pool. On October 28, 2024, City Council approved a contract with Progressive Commercial Aquatics for the renovation of the Olympic Pool at LPAC. On November 25, 2024, City Council approved a contract with SpawGlass Building Services for the renovation of the Bath House at LPAC.
As detailed in the October 21, 2024 presentation, Staff has identified the need to renovate and restore several smaller elements at LPAC in addition to the two major renovation awards for the Olympic Pool and Bath House. These smaller elements include restoring or replacing the various water play elements at the Olympic Pool and Spring Fed Pool, making operational and safety improvements to Kiddie City within the Spring Fed Pool, installing ADA compliant transfer stairs at the Spring Fed Pool, as well as other improvements.
The City is utilizing a Buy-Board contract to procure the renovation, replacement, and repair services from Progressive Commercial Aquatics. The total contract value is $189,325 and staff is recommending a 10% owner’s contingency of $18,933 for a total approved expenditure of $208,258.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for the project was identified in the FY 2025 budget using reallocated 2013 Bond Funds, therefore sufficient funding is available.
