BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The New Braunfels City Council approved a resolution establishing the Business Improvement & Preservation Grant Program at its October 23, 2023 meeting.
An online grant application was opened in late October 2023 and the Economic and Community Development department has collected applications for the TIRZ 3 Board to review on a semi-monthly rolling basis. A total of six grants have been approved by the TIRZ 3 Board and City Council.
Staff will present grant applications received, in full, by March 23, 2026 and the tabled grant applications from the June 25, 2025 TIRZ 3 meeting. Applicants receiving grant approval from the TIRZ 3 will be advanced to City Council for final consideration.
