BACKGROUND / RATIONALE:
As part of the FY 2017-2018 Budget, staff recommended the purchase of audio/visual equipment for the Exhibit Hall. In recognition of the need to stay current with client’s technology needs, respond to their requests, and compete with other meeting facilities, two new ceiling-mounted projectors and screens will be installed, along with a new HDMI computer input location and support equipment including control screens. The sound and video system will continue to integrate with the other meeting rooms for maximum flexibility and presentation quality.
The total cost for this project is $146,568.52. Quotes were taken, and staff recommends Ford Audio-Video Systems, LLC for award. Ford Audio-Video is a Buyboard Cooperative vendor and satisfies the competitive procurement requirements.

FISCAL IMPACT:
The FY 2017-18 Hotel/Motel Tax Fund has $150,000 in funding available for this capital project enhancement, therefore sufficient funds are available for this purchase.
