BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
On March 13, 2023 City Council approved construction of the Fire Training Center Site and Infrastructure Improvements. Access to the facility will be controlled by access-controlled vehicle gates and the site will be monitored through the video surveillance system.
The security system equipment and installation will be purchased from Next Gen Security for $69,845.00 using a Wesco/Anixter contract with Omnia of which NextGen is an authorized reseller, thereby satisfying the competitive procurement requirements. Staff are asking to include a 10% contingency of $6,985 for a total of $76,830.

FISCAL IMPACT:
The total cost for the systems provided by Next Gen is included in the project budget for the Fire Training Center Site and Infrastructure Improvements which is being funded by the Creekside Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ), therefore sufficient funds are available.
