BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

The Central Texas Technology Center (“CTTC”) Advisory Board held a strategic planning meeting on January 28, 2025 to discuss visioning for the future. A revised mission and purpose for the Board was proposed at this meeting. Board action is required to modify the existing Board’s Bylaws - Section1: Purpose to the following:

 

Mission: The mission of the Central Texas Technology Center Advisory Board (name change is being proposed in a separate action item on this agenda) is to be a strategic group for clear communication, aligned efforts, collaboration, and targeted support for workforce education.

 

Vision: To capitalize on opportunities that support industry and lead to an increased quality of life and positive generational change.

 

ISSUE:

Through strategic planning, the CTTC Advisory Board identified the need to modify the existing purpose by adopting a mission and vision. Formal Board action necessitates this change, with New Braunfels and Seguin’s City Councils taking the final approval at a future date.
