BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Portable site services (portable toilets, handwashing stations) are used throughout the park and river system during the peak summer season and for year-round special events. Big John Site Services is a local company that has proven to be a reliable vendor for us in the past and has always been responsive to our event service’s needs.
A formal solicitation was published and two (2) responses were received and evaluated. Big John Site Services was identified as the highest ranked vendor and lowest overall cost. Given the results of the evaluation and the history of the company, staff is recommending award of the contract to Big John Site Services.
The contract will be awarded for three years with the option for two renewal terms. The total expenditures for five years is estimated to be $20,000 per year for a total of $100,000.00
ISSUE:
Approval of a contract for portable site services.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Parks department has budgeted $5,000 for Parks and $15,400 for River for FY2024.
