TAAF Summer Games
The New Braunfels Parks and Recreation Department offers a summer Rapids Track program and a Dolphins swim team program. These young athletes had a chance to compete regionally in a TAAF (Texas Amateur Athletic Federation) meet, and many of them qualified to go on to the state finals. The Rapids track team had 18 qualify for state and the Dolphins swim team had 62 qualify. The TAAF finals were held in late July in Bryan, Texas. Two track athletes placed gold in the Pole vault and thirteen swim athletes placed between gold and bronze in various events. A tremendous accomplishment for them and for New Braunfels.
This season would not have been possible without great coaching staff all around and we look forward to next year!
