BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Texas Local Government Code requires that taxing entities hold a public hearing on the Annual Budget.
City Council held work sessions on the FY 2027 Budget and 2026 tax rate on August 11, 17, 18, and 19 and September 8th. As required by law, the city published a notice regarding the public hearing on the budget in the New Braunfels Herald-Zeitung on August 22, 2026.

FISCAL IMPACT:
