Body

BACKGROUND / RATIONALE:

The New Braunfels Utilities South Kuehler Road Interceptor sanitary sewer easement currently crosses a portion of Fischer Park in the vicinity of the Nature Center and Archaeology Pit.  This sanitary sewer line is in need of replacement and in order to minimize the impact to park facilities, NBU has proposed a new easement alignment which is shown on the exhibit attached to this agenda report.

Staff has met and discussed the terms of this agreement with NBU who has agreed to have their contractor meet certain conditions regarding timing of construction and restoration of landscaping, trees and other park improvements.  The construction activities are proposed to take place within Fischer Park between October 1, 2018 and March 31, 2019.
