BACKGROUND / RATIONALE:
Per section 9.17 of the City Charter, City Council approval is required for an annual purchase that exceeds $25,000. City staff are recommending a contract for custom blended fertilizers and herbicides to support for landscape maintenance at the Landa Park Golf Course. These are custom blended liquid and granular fertilizers prepared by Harrell’s Inc. for the turf grass and golf course specific usage. These are also custom adjuvants and generic use herbicides and fungicides that are patented by Harrell’s Inc. for turf grass enhancement and health.
Staff recommends an annual contract with Harrell’s for $32,000 to be funded by the Golf Course Enterprise Fund.
