BACKGROUND / RATIONALE:

Staff is requesting replacement of a Facility Maintenance vehicle that was hit by another motorist.  A claim was filed with Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool and the vehicle was declared a total loss.  The replacement vehicle can be purchased from Bluebonnet Motors, Inc. utilizing a City contract.  The 2019 Transit-250 Cargo Van will cost $30,345.  In addition, staff recommends declaring the wrecked vehicle as surplus to be released to TML for the actual cash value of $9,325.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The funding for the replacement vehicle will come from the insurance claim and supplemented by the Equipment Replacement Fund. Therefore, sufficient funds are available to purchase the vehicles.
