BACKGROUND / RATIONALE:

The City of New Braunfels and the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) have entered into an agreement as part of TXDOT’s off-system bridge program to replace the San Antonio Street Bridge over the Comal River.  As part of this agreement, the City is required to acquire all necessary property rights to accomplish the construction.

 

As part of the design, it was determined that a 1.458-acre temporary construction easement would need to be acquired out of the property addressed as 370 W. Lincoln Street from Liberty Partnership, LTD.  An independent appraisal was performed which determined a value for the temporary construction easement of $115,000.  An offer was made to Liberty Partnership, LTD and they have accepted.
