Approval of a resolution of support for the Texas Department of Transportation’s 2020 Unified Transportation Plan.

BACKGROUND / RATIONALE:
The UTP is a 10- year plan to guide transportation project development for TxDOT. The UTP is developed annually and approved by the Texas Transportation Commission. The UTP authorizes projects for construction, development and planning activities and includes projects involving highways, aviation, public transportation and state and coastal waterways.
ADDRESSES A NEED/ISSUE IN A CITY PLAN OR COUNCIL PRIORITY:
The Unified Transportation Plan will help to address traffic safety and congestion within the Alamo Area Regional Metropolitan Organization that affect Residents of New Braunfels.
