Approval of an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between the City of New Braunfels and the New Braunfels Independent School District, establishing guidelines for the continuation the provision of School Resource Officers by the New Braunfels Police Department to the NBISD for a 3 year period, through the 2022-23 school year.

BACKGROUND / RATIONALE:
This agreement was drafted based on the procedures and practices currently in place. It establishes a formal agreement through the 2022-23 academic year. Upon Council approval, it will be placed before the NBISD Board at their next meeting for approval.

FISCAL IMPACT:
This agreement captures the current financial arrangement between the City of New Braunfels and the NBISD. The ISD pays for 75% of all costs associated with the SRO program, with the City paying the remainder. This agreement requires no adjustment to revenues or expenditures that have already been budgeted.
