BACKGROUND / RATIONALE:
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board has seven members serving three-year staggered terms. Notice of vacancy was advertised from August 17, 2020 to September 15, 2020.
Six qualified applications were submitted for the three Parks and Recreation Advisory Board vacancies:
• Ben Buchanan
• Bryan Feltner (incumbent)
• George Gonzales
• David Lerch
• Katie Preston
• Jason Vreeland
Applicants’ current & prior service on Boards and Commissions
Ben Buchanan is a member of the Heritage Commission.
Bryan Feltner is a member of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
George Gonzales has no prior experience on City boards or commissions.
David Lerch is a member of the Partnership Committee, Building Standards Commission, and an alternate for the Zoning Board of Adjustment.
Katie Preston has no prior experience on City boards or commissions.
Jason Vreeland has no prior experience on City boards or commissions. He is a graduate of City University.
