BACKGROUND / RATIONALE:
The Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA) is a nine-member body with appointed members serving two-year staggered terms. Because most items considered by the ZBA can only be approved by a super-majority, the Board also has alternate members who can serve as needed. There is a current alternate vacancy and notice of vacancy was advertised from March 16, 2020 to ----September 16, 2020.
The following application was submitted for the Alternate vacancy:
• Lynn Norvell
Applicants’ current & prior service on Boards and Commissions
Lynn Norvell previously served on the New Braunfels Public Library Foundation.
ADDRESSES A NEED/ISSUE IN A CITY PLAN OR COUNCIL PRIORITY:
The ZBA is required by state law with rules and procedures outlined in the Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 144 of the City’s Code of Ordinances, and further detailed in the Board’s bylaws.
