Approval of a purchase with Harrells Inc. for fertilizers, chemicals, and over seed for the Landa Park Golf Course through a Buy Board Contract.

BACKGROUND / RATIONALE:
The Landa Park Golf Course uses custom blended liquid and granular fertilizers prepared by Harrells Inc. for turf grass and golf course specific usage. These are also custom adjuvants and generic use herbicides and fungicides that are patented by Harrells Inc. for turf grass enhancement and health.
In the past we have used two companies for Golf Course chemical and fertilizer needs. This year we will be utilizing Harrells Inc. for all agricultural products at the golf course. The customer service has exceeded expectations, and they are a local operation.
The Buy Board Contract has been vetted thereby satisfying the City’s competitive bidding requirements and is guaranteeing the lowest price.
The estimated cost for all chemical, fertilizer, and over seed for FY 2021 is $85,000.

FISCAL IMPACT:
The funding for these expenditures is incorporated in the FY 2021 Golf Course Enterprise Fund Adopted Budget. Therefore, sufficient funds are available.
