Approval of the first reading of an ordinance amending the Code of Ordinances Chapter 86-66 regarding membership of the Landa Park Golf Course Advisory Board.

BACKGROUND / RATIONALE:
Currently, membership on the Landa Park Golf Course Advisory Board is made up as follows:
• One member of the Landa Park Golf Association
• One member of Landa Ladies Golf Association
• Five at large members not members of Landa Park Golf Association or the Landa Ladies Golf Association.
The Landa Park Golf Advisory Board would like to replace one at-large member with one member of the Landa Legends Golf Association. The Landa Legends held one seat on the Board until 2009, when no volunteer could be found to fill the seat. This resulted in a change to the Advisory Board by-laws to make the Legends position an at-large position.
Since 2009, the Landa Legends Golf Association has grown to over 120 members and is currently the largest league that plays weekly at the course. The Legends have asked for their seat to be restored to the Advisory Board.
There is currently one seat unfilled on the Advisory Board due to the resignation of Patrick Hollis. Staff recommends allowing this position to be filled by the Landa Legends Golf Association.

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION:
The Landa Park Golf Advisory Board voted unanimously to change one at-large position to one Landa Legends position at their meeting on November 1, 2020.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the change to the Code of Ordinances 86-66 moving one at-large position to one Landa Legends position on the Landa Park Golf Advisory Board.
