BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The intent and purpose of the Meet and Confer negotiations and the Meet and Confer Agreement entered into by and between the City of New Braunfels, and the New Braunfels Professional Firefighters Association, to achieve harmonious relations between the Parties related to the hiring and promotional practices in accordance with Subchapter C of 142 Texas Local Government Code and not deny local control by the City except as provided in the Agreement, original effective date of October 1, 2019.
ISSUE:
The Association notified the City that it would like to amend the Agreement as it relates to the make-up of the interview board, promotional processes, addition of education points to Engineer rank, and the addition of an Alternative Disciplinary Process, and other related matters.
