BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The 2019 Bond authorized the construction of the Police Station and Veterans Memorial Project. Construction on the new facilities is scheduled to be substantially complete by July 2022. In order to transition operations from the current building to the new building it is necessary to contract for moving services. Staff are recommending EDC Moving Systems utilizing a cooperative contract with TxSmartBuy, a State of Texas contract that meets the competitive procurement requirements. The cost for services are proposed at $56,962.
ISSUE:
Transition operations from the existing NBPD Headquarters to the new Headquarters.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for these costs have been incorporated into the project budgets within the 2019 bond program, therefore, sufficient funds are available to approve the purchase as described above.
