BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

In 2019 the City performed a traffic signal warrant analysis determining the need for a traffic signal at the intersection of FM 1044 and County Line Rd. 

 

The city requested qualifications on March 1, 2022 through the task order process which considered vendors prequalified on the City’s indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) for professional services.  The city received 10 responses on March 16, 2022 and after a review of qualifications, experience with similar services, and understanding of the project, Pape-Dawson Engineers, Inc. was selected as the highest-ranked vendor.

 

The City engaged with Pape-Dawson Engineers, Inc. in developing scope and fee for the design of the Intersection Improvements at FM 1044 and County Line Rd.  The scope includes 100% design, survey, traffic signal plans, signal timing, and subsurface utility engineering (S.U.E.)  The fee for this work is $68,505.

 

 

ISSUE:

Continue an ongoing program of infrastructure construction and maintenance.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

Funding is available in Roadway Impact Fee Service Area 5

Staff recommends approval of a Professional Services Agreement with Pape-Dawson Engineers, Inc. for design services for improvements at the intersection of FM 1044 and County Line Road.
