BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
In 2016 a traffic signal warrant analysis was performed by Lee Engineering determining the need for a traffic signal at the intersection of FM 1044 and Schmidt Ave.
The City requested qualifications on February 28, 2022 through the task order process which considered vendors prequalified on the City’s indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for professional services. The City received 11 responses on March 15, 2022 and after a review of qualifications, experience with similar services, and understanding of the project, Alliance Transportation Group was selected as the highest-ranked vendor.
The City engaged with Alliance Transportation Group in developing scope and fee for the design of the Intersection Improvements at FM 1044 and Schmidt Ave. The scope includes 100% design, survey, traffic signal plans, signal timing, and subsurface utility engineering (S.U.E.). The fee for this work is $75,356.
ISSUE:
Continue an ongoing program of infrastructure construction and maintenance.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding is available in roadway impact fee service area 5.
